GALILEO Databases
The GALILEO Databases for Computer Sciences are a great place to begin your
search, especially if you are looking for scholarly articles. Click on a
specific database below, enter your specific search terms, and browse the
articles. You may need to visit the library to get the GALILEO password if
you plan on using GALILEO off-campus.

The Georgia Code, hosted by LexisNexis, is the
compilation of the laws of the state of Georgia that are
currently in force. The database is searchable by keyword and by
code number.

|
Georgia Legislative Services provides access to
both Georgia House and Senate bills. The database is searchable
by keyword, bill number, code section, authors, co-signers, and
committee sponsors.

The database currently contains the Acts of the
General Assembly of the State of Georgia for the years
1799-1999, with a few gaps. In the future, additional documents
will be added to include the Journal
of the House of Representatives of the State of Georgia
and the Journal of the Senate of the
State of Georgia.

LexisNexis Academic contains approximately 5,000
publications, virtually all include full text. Many types of
publications are included: newspapers (in English, other
languages, and translations of international papers), legal
news, general interest magazines, medical journals, trade
publications, company financial information, transcripts, wire
service reports, government publications (such as the federal
case law, U.S. Code, Code of Federal Regulations, Congressional
Testimony, etc.), law reviews, and reference works (such as the
Forbes Annual Directory, the Official Guide/American Marketplace
and the US Global Trade Outlook).
