Interlibrary Loan is a cooperative and courtesy arrangement between libraries which allows us to borrow books or copies of requested articles from other libraries for you to use in your research. In return,  Griffin Tech sends books and copies of articles to other libraries for their students and faculty to use. This service is available only for items which the Griffin Technical College does not own and only to Griffin Tech faculty, staff, and students.

Please keep in mind that borrowing items from other libraries is a privilege. Under no circumstance is another library obligated to lend  Griffin Tech books or articles.

Receiving and Returning Your Requests

Arrival Time and Pickup

Due Dates
Due dates for ILL items are set by the lending library and range from 10 days to 5 weeks. The due date is the date the item must be returned to the Library. If a book is recalled by the lending library we are obligated to return it immediately. Help us stay in good standing with other libraries by returning items on time.
Renewals
If you want to renew an item, please call the Circulation Desk before the item is due to give us sufficient time to request a renewal. Some libraries, however, do not grant renewals.
Returns
Return items to the Circulation Desk or give them to a staff member if no one is available at the Circulation Desk.
